Making paper-dolls and then creating doll clothes from old knee high socks – fashioning Barbie doll houses using egg cartons and carpet scraps, Thank You Barbie! I started making my own clothes in 2nd grade. Being a chubby young girl this saved me from becoming a fashion reject.
